WE WELCOME ANY NEW PLAYERS AT ANY STAGE OF THE SEASON to come along and try the sport out for a couple of sessions after which we would ask for the player to become a member. New players must be a member to play in fixtures.
The U13 age group consists Boys in school Year 8 and coached by an RFU Level 2 qualified coach and RFU qualified First Aider.
Training takes place every Wednesday evening behind the clubhouse from 6.30pm until 7.45pm and Sundays (if there is not a fixture) at 10.00am to 11.15am on the Millfield’s pitch. We have friendly fixtures with clubs in Essex on Sundays.
This season the game develops further as the kids get older, contested scrums, mauls, rucks, and drop kick restarts. All players should have a gum shield to be worn at training and for matches, and suitable footwear for the playing conditions. Players should always bring a suitable drink to training/matches (nothing sugary as this dehydrates the body). Coaches and the manager should be notified of any health conditions.

We operate an inclusive policy for all players without the use of A or B teams, but we recognise that players develop skills at different speeds, and we accommodate that in our coaching.
