SIMS and DISS charge through the tunnel at Twickenham on a bright sunny day!

Both Charlie and Ratty scored fantastic tries and had the day of their lives.

Charlie and Ratty's special training day at Twickenham was fantastic. Guided tour by Will Greenwood, and they sang the National Anthem lined up on the pitch!

Following the footsteps of Jack Beale last year Charlie and Ratty turned up at Twickers today where they were handed their kit. Both families and boys then had some spare time before the training began where they practised their kicking, stroked the turf and generally soaked up every minute of this amazing experience.

The boys) then all gathered inside the tunnel (approx. 100 children) and the parents gathered either side, outside it. Will Greenwood was inspirational. He was explaining to them what goes through your head when you are standing in the tunnel waiting to go out. He then got them all to run out and all the parents cheered along! They then lined up and sang the National Anthem.

They then split up to 4 age groups with 3 different training sessions on the pitch and spent 20 minutes on each session, rotating round. Having training and game time with Scott Quinnell, who passed to both boys during a game and both boys managed to score a couple of glorious tries. The fourth area was a tour into the home changing rooms with Will Greenwood, who was absolutely phenomenal, he made each child feel special and each child feel like they were about to play for England with him captaining them.

The whole day was so well organised and Charlie and Ratty played and trained really well. The boys described the day as “awesome” and “the best day of their lives”.
We were all incredibly proud of them.
